The name Bayliwick is an old term which refers to the district within a bailiffs' jurisdiction. The grounds in which the house now stands were part of a walk and hunting area used extensively by James I in the early 17th century when this land was part of Windsor Forest. Full payment will be made at check-in, so refunds will not be given for the remaining nights of the reservation. If the first night of a multi-night stay on any rate is missed, that night will be charged for, and the rest of the reservation may be cancelled. The room will be re-sold and the whole booking forfeited. No refund will be provided.
